The Story Behind Earthen Vessels
Every business has a story and this is mine. I have always loved art; it had always been my favorite part of school. I discovered pottery when I was much younger visiting my uncle. He helped me make a piece on a little kiddy wheel and I fell in love! During my high school years I pursued learning more about the potter's wheel and hand building. By the time I was a senior in high school I was taking two art classes in order to devote more time to the wheel.
My parents always supported me and purchased a potter's wheel to use at home. Most of my pieces from high school are at my parent's house and my mom treasures them! After high school happened, I lost touch with my art. Now in my forties I have been given the ability to really take off with my pottery journey. My husband and I were able to create an amazing studio in our home and I am able to use my wheel, slab roller, and kiln to create fun and useful pieces of pottery.
Saying all of this I want you to know my that my wonderful Heavenly Father has blessed me with this ability and opportunity to share artwork with others and to tell His story, the good news, the gospel message of hope. Out of tragedy and loss the Lord gave me the amazing minitsry called Heaven Baby. I believe scripture is very clear about the fact that each baby was created by Him and for Him; even if they are never born on Earth, they are born right into Heaven into God's loving presence.
This verse is why I chose my business/ministry name:
2 Corinthians 4:7
"But I have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from myself." - AMP
What I Believe
Community
I believe in the power of gathering together, sharing stories, and creating side by side. My studio is a place where connections are made and friendships are formed.
Creativity
Every person has creative potential waiting to be discovered. I provide the tools, guidance, and encouragement to help you express yourself through clay.
Purpose
I see each piece as more than just clay - it's a vessel for memories, a gift of love, or a reminder of time well spent with those who matter most.
